Congratulations ‘Master Bertrand’

Its now official Mr Bertrand was promoted to Master Bertrand 7th Dan, by the ITF Promotions Committee.

Mr Bertrand, who took his grading earlier this year, has been waiting for the official recognition of the ITF Promotions Commitee. ‘Although I was confident I’d passed’, he said ‘it was important to have the Committees official recognition, which ensures my grade is recognised world-wide’. I look forward to doing credit to the grade of Master & demonstrating the attributes I believe a Master should have’.

Mr Bertrand went on to say ‘When I first started the martial arts my intention was to be a black belt 1st Dan. My next goal was then to be a 4th Dan and having achieved that, I set my sights on being a Master. I hope my journey, demonstrates to others that if you set targets/goals regardless of how impossible they may seem, with due diligence, hard work and ‘Focus’ you can obtain your dream.

‘I would especially like to thank Master Nicholls, 8th Dan, ITF Secretary General for supporting me in this, the latter part of my Taekwondo life’.
