This year 36 of Mr. Bertrand's students entered the London Open Championships, the most he has had enter in more than 10 years of teaching. It seemed that everybody felt that they could come away with something this year, whether it be a winning position or the experience needed to progress even further. Positive attitude was in abundance.

But the proof of the pudding was in the eating and eat we all certainly did!! We came away with a large quantity of gold, silver and bronze medals, the overall winning shield and 36 very proud competitors. Everybody did extremely well on the day and the support from the friends and parents who came to watch was also tremendous and we are very grateful to them.
